This set contains 2 mounted and 6 foot plus 2 horse models with arms options for various action poses. The foot models are similar to 54 AMR 02–F above except for variation in terms of headdress and the mounted models. We have provided the cavalrymen with options to be armed with the pistol, the axe or the rifle.
This set is designed specifically for the War of 1812 battles at the Great Lakes and at New Orleans. Unlike the Frontiersmen, the Kentucky Riflemen is a formal militia unit with uniforms and consists of both mounted and infantry elements. They adopt the hunting shirt as their uniform with a plumed top hat.
They are armed with the Kentucky Rifle and do not use the bayonet. For close-combat, they use their rifle as a club, or use the tomahawk or the hunting knife.
The charge of the Kentuckian horsemen at the battle of the Thames was decisive and lead to the eventual death of Tecumseh, Chief of the Indian Alliance fighting as allies of the British.
