The Durso Company began in 1935 in Liege, Belgium. Easily recognized by their mounded, oval bases that are stamped: Durso Made in Belgium. The line ranges greatly from Viking, Gauls and Mongols to Farm and Zoo Animals to Armies of the World. By far the most popular had to be their Wild West range. Durso also made many character figures including, Eisenhower, Stalin, Atila the Hun, Napoleon and Charlie Chaplin. Excellent sculpting and brightly painted Dusro figures are a welcome addition to any composition collection.
