Even with the best of intentions, things do go astray and we make every effort to rectify any problem that arises. High volume sometimes delays shipments and responses to questions, but we do our best to respond to your inquiries as fast as possible.
Pricing Policy
We match any regular priced items advertised by our competitors in the United Sates. Send us the Web link, or URL, or print copy of any current product listing and we will match that price, plus offer an additional 5% discount. Items must be in stock here and at the competitor. Excludes sale items or items advertised on eBay and any auction web site. Matched prices negate preferred customer discounts.
Privacy Policy
The Michigan Toy Soldier Company does not disclose or sell buyers' information to any third parties. We do not sell, share or distribute email addresses.
Our Mail Order Policy
We offer a wide variety of types and manufacturers of products. We feel our product lines are the best available on the market today. Please keep in mind that many companies whose products we carry are small, independent manufacturers; we also carry a large amount of unique and imported products which are typically made in small quantities. In both cases, it takes time to restock these items. In the event an item is out of stock you will be notified immediately and it will automatically be placed on back order. With orders of multiple items we generally ship in-stock items and send you a card notifying you that out-of-stock items have been placed on back-order and the excepted delivery time.
Return Policy
We want you to be satisfied with your order. However, should anything not be to your satisfaction, you can return the item for a refund . Michigan Toy Soldier will credit you for shipping charges only if it was an error on our part. We do not accept returns on discounted or sale items. We hold the right to refuse any return that is not pre-authorized.
We accept returns of merchandise in resalable condition within 30 days of purchase. We also accept returns of merchandise after 30 days subject to a 20% restocking fee and prior approval by us. Returns beyond 90 days are not accepted. You must contact us via email, fax or phone before sending anything back in order to obtain a return authorization number (RA#). This will help us process returns in a more timely manner with minimal confusion for all parties involved. Any specific questions should be directed to our returns page or by phoning 248-586-1022. Please note: returns may take up to 2 weeks to process.
Returns on Factory Defects
Should you receive a packaged item that is damaged from the manufacturer, please let us know and we will let you know where to send it for an exchange. In most cases, we will handle the exchange and the shipping fees.
Prices Are Subject to Change Without Notice
Price changes will generally be quoted before an item is shipped and customers may free feel to decline having an item sent if they do not agreed to the higher price. A customer may return an item for a full refund whose price has changed and was not informed of such beforehand; we will also pay the return shipping cost.
When do we bill your credit card?
Your credit card is billed when the order is ready to be sent to the shipping center. If an item is temporarily out of stock, your credit card will not be billed for this item until it is ready to ship. Orders are typically shipped within 2-3 business days. We do offer same day delivery. Let us know in advance if you prefer that. Shipping costs may be a little more for that service.
Layaways
Layaways require a 30% minimum down payment and 25% every 30 days until the balance is paid. Layaways held over 90 days return to stock. Failure to meet these requirements will result in total forfeiture of layaway and all monies paid.

Every effort is made to answer your inquiries as fast as possible. Please keep in mind that we receive over 100 emails a day and it takes time to answer each and every one. Please allow anywhere from 1 to 5 business days for an answer.

Free Insurance on all Orders
UPS and USPS work suprisingly well considering the volume of packages they deliver daily. We have found that even at our volume very few of our packages are lost every year. If a package is lost in transit to you (not delivered in 2 weeks in U.S., 8 weeks for APO/FPO) we will replace it ourselves or refund it if we cannot replace it.
Continental USA
Foreign Shipping Rates
Because every shipment is different we show an estimated cost. If the actual cost is more than the estimated cost we will contact you for your approval.
Canada and Mexico
Canadian and Mexican shipments are charged actual cost of the postage, usually about 15% of total order cost.
Western Europe
Western European shipments are charged actual cost of the postage, usually about 20% of total order cost.
Rest of the World
All other international shipments are charged actual cost of airmail postage, usually about 25% of total order cost.
International Customs Duties and Taxes
Our prices and our shipping costs do not include any local customs duties or local taxes. For information on duties and taxes please contact your customs department. Typically, most items arriving from overseas are charged either customs duty and/or local taxes. Every country has different rules, so if you have questions please ask first and we will try to help. It is your responsibility to pay any duties and taxes.
