Mike Jones is a Grade 4 student in Ohio and for his history project he made a flatboat that early settlers used to the voyage down the Ohio river. Mike used 1:72 Pioneers (Imex Pioneers, #516) on a rough-hewn flatboat. The settlers are floating past an Indian village (Imex Eastern Friendly Indians, #522) on a bend of the Ohio River. Mike received an A+! |
Overview of the Ohio River. We really like the placement of the trees very nice groupings. |
The river is ingeniously done with plastic wrap. The banks look exceptionally real with gravel and pebbles for boulders. |
Great looking flatboat with cabin. |
The Indian camp set at the edge of the woods. Lichen on sticks make handsome and inexpensive trees. |
The settler waves Good-day! as they sail off, into the sunset. |
