1/72 Tiger I "Red #311" (Mid-production), 3./s.Pz.Abt.501, Eastern Front 1944, w/Zimmerit

This Tiger I includes the anti-magnetic Zimmerit coating and is finished in the markings and two-tone camouflage scheme of s.Pz.Abt.501 as it appeared on the Eastern Front in 1944.

This “schwere Panzer Abteilung” (heavy tank battalion) originally fought in North Africa before German forces surrendered in Tunisia. After being reformed, the unit was sent to the Eastern Front in November 1943, before it was largely destroyed again in the summer of 1944.
