About the captured T-34:
The 26-ton T-34/76 was a revolutionary and advanced tank design. It helped jerk the all-conquering Germans back to reality after they came face to face with them in the invasion of Russia! In fact, the T-34 was deemed so successful that the German forces at times put captured T-34s into their own national service, exacerbated as they were by shortages of their own tanks. When pressed into German service, the tanks received a number of modifications to make them more operable. This included such things as Notek light, new storage boxes and the installation of a radio.
