We take to the high seas for this week's figure. He's the second soldier from the left and he's a Roman Legionnaire from Caesar Miniatures. He's just one of many able bodied seamen servicing this handsome 1:72 scale Roman Trireme from Zvezda – which is the real star of this week's posting. It was assembled by local modeler Dan Jones who reports that the kit was, "an absolute joy to build" and that all joints went together effortlessly and there was no flash to clean. "The hardest part was the rigging," he adds. More Zvezda Romans round out the crew all of which were expertly painted by Dan. What a great job.
