Each week the MTSC staff will pick out their favorite figures.

April 01-08, 2007

One of the most appropriate pictures. It’s from Grey Iron’s Greyklip Armies series. First introduced in 1917, the Greyklip Armies were 40mm, nickel plated soldiers. Original sold in six different sets of five soldiers each, these fellows are from the 3rd set, “Company C.” In 1938 they were reintroduced as “Uncle Sam’s Defenders” and were painted khaki (instead of nickel plated) their faces sometimes painted fleshtone. These boys were repainted by their first owner who made them confederates.
