Each week the MTSC staff will pick out their favorite figures.

November 19-26, 2006

This week’s figure comes from my (Doug) childhood, it’s a Timpo Knight from W.Britains, circa mid ’60s. The name Timpo was derived form Toy Importers Co. and contemporaneously with Britains created Swappets; figures of multicolored plastic with interchangeable parts. Their later development of over moulding provided a single-piece, multicolored product that eliminated the need of painting. This particular piece was brought to me by Santa but I presume he got it at a S.S. Kresge department store for 10¢.
