Paint Mediums: Plastic Putty
A modelling paste which dries to a white, totally opaque, stone hard finish. It is used principally for rebuilding or restructuring models and miniatures, for textures and high reliefs. For extra high relief the paste should be applied in layers, allowing each to dry before applying the next. If a more flexible paste is desired, mix with Gel Medium (5/5). |

Paint Mediums: Gloss Medium
Gloss Medium extends the colors, increases their brilliance, their fluidity and transparence, and softens the blending of brushstrokes. It heightens the flexibility of the colors, and their adhesion to the surface. It is the perfect medium for glazes. Does not yellow or change tonality of the color. Can also be used as a binder for dry pigment.
Characteristics: Acrylic Medium has a milky appearance, but dries totally transparent and glossy.
Application: With a brush, in fine layers, or mixed with the colors. |

Paint Mediums: Liquid Mask
Used to reserve areas which are to remain unpainted, especially in airbrush techniques, but also with watercolours and temperas, Designers Liquid Colours, Liquid Acrylic and India Ink. Liquid Mask forms a protective film on the area which the artists does not want to paint. Once the work is dry, liquid mask is rubbed off with an eraser or piece of cloth, revealing unpainted area. If the masking fluid is used with Model Color, paint should be diluted with water, since the undiluted acrylic may form a uniform coat with Liquid Mask, and will lift off together with the product when the work is done. |
