Supplied with Three Sets of Cable Ends One Each Greman, Russian and U.S./British Type
In the past kit manufacturers have supplied plastic injected molded cables, picture hanging wire, and last but not least string. These metal tow cables were developed as a more accurate portrayal of real tow cables. Real steel 7 x 7 cables with cast metal cable ends which represent 1" diameter cable in 1/35th scale.
"Tow Cables" come finished in a rusty color and can be used as is, however, you can paint your cables using any hobby paint. A nice worn effect can be achieved by gently scraping off certain areas of the cable and/or cable ends so that the bare metal shows through. This simulates wear. Don't over do the bare metal effect as most tow cables were rusty, dirty, oily and anything but shiny.
