WWII Assault Rations

Hudson & Allen Assault and Small Detachment Rations -1115
U.S. Army World War II / Korea
Assault rations were developed late in WW II as an extremely lightweight, low bulk packet to be carried by troops engaged in rapid assault actions. Already overloaded with extra ammunition and equipment, field packs were often left behind, regular C-rations could not be carried. The packet contained items that could be distributed in pockets and provide basic nourishment when combat lulls permitted. The packets contained such items as pemmican, chocolate bars, biscuits, gum, coffee and cigarettes. These rations saw more use in Korea than WW II but were phased out shortly after the Korean war ended.
Eash box set comes with instructions on scoring, cutting, folding and gluing, along with a list of helpful tools.
