Hausser issued mounted Romans in 3rd Version only. There is very noticeable difference between the early (1960's) and late (1970's-83) production.
On the left is an early production (circa 1962) figure on the right is a late production (circa late 1970's) figure. The most noticeable difference is in the leather on the skirt which in early production has a wash which provides nice contrast. The late production figure is painted in straight colors with no shading or contrast. Noticeable on the late figure is how sloppy the painting had become towards the end with little care given to staying within the lines. Also notice the saddles on the horses. The late figure is painted with two colors while the early figure has detail added. Each mounted Roman came in three plume colors... Red, Blue and Black with black being more scarce.
