Elastolin 7cm Plastic Versions
 

Early First Version (Painting I)

First Version Figures are were cast in white plastic with a stain or wash used in painting


Second Version (Painting II) Elastolin Norman

Second Version Figures are were cast in white plastic and the skin was painted in flesh color


Third Version (Painting III) Elastolin Norman

 

Third Version Figures are were cast in pink plastic to save painting costs.

Early third version figures had some degree of shading or dry brushing applied to the uniforms and weapons. In the later stages of Hausser production 1970's to 1983) everything was painted in straight colors

 

Pictured are some of the different Elastolin Bases

Note: There is no hard fast rule for which bases went with which figures but generally the dark green base with the J Stamped on it was only found on J Series Western Figures and the Pearl Base on all Fisrt Version Figures but many second version figures can be found on Pearl bases and some First Version Figures can be found on base # 2.
