| Metal figures were once the industry standard that's now held by resin. They can be molded in any scale and the detail is usually crisp, but not quite like that of resin. There are some drawbacks however. A 120mm figure in metal can weigh a pound, and holding this figure for any length of time while painting can be tiring. Another is pitting, which is a defect in manufacturing caused by surface contamination between the mold and the hot metal. Most companies producing metal kits offer high quality castings and detail the rivals many resin producers. | ||
