| Artist Oils are universally available in art stores and must be thinned with turps. We prefer "turpenoid" turpentine substitute, which has the thinning characteristics of turpentine, but no odor and dries faster. Still, oils take the longest to dry of any media. Many modelers like to use them for painting flesh for this reason, and some like them for uniforms as well. Winsor & Newton and Grumbacher are popular choices. | ||
