| Enamel paints react almost like acrylics but are solvent-based. Oil painters will sometimes use enamels for the base coat in the same fashion as acrylics. The most popular are Humbrol and Testor's Model Master Enamels. Most paints will last a long time. However, repeated opening and closing of the tubes and jars eventually contaminates the paint with air, causing them to slowly congeal. | ||
