| Acrylic paint is water-soluble and thin and cleans up easily. They dry fast and are almost like iron in durability. Many oil painters use them as the base coat on top of which the oils are applied for shading and highlighting. Be careful to choose a water-based acrylic, not solvent-based, which dries way too fast shading techniques. Vallejo and Andrea paints are the most widely used today. | ||
