1/72 Hummel Late Production - Armor Pro Series
The Hummel (Bumble Bee) was originally produced as a German interim solution for a self-propelled gun platform. However, this howitzer that is mounted on a lengthened Pz.Kpfw. IV chassis, served throughout WWII after its introduction in early 1943 at the Battle of Kursk. In 1944 the Hummel was modified with an extended glacis plate that accommodated both the driver and radio operator the earlier model only had a small extended compartment for the driver. Dragon Models new 1/72 Hummel model faithfully replicates all the features of this Late Model, and includes some completely new parts for the 15cm sFH18/1 L/70 gun and the vehicles gun compartment. This model even incorporates moving parts, with the gun capable of being traversed and elevated!
