Marder III Ausf.H ~ Smart Kit

From the Dragon Press Release
When Germany occupied Czechoslovakia in March 1939, only ten of the new LTvz. 38 tanks had been built for the Czech Army. Germany was quick to appreciate the outstanding design features of the tank and ordered production of the Panzer 38(t) to continue. The chassis was subsequently used for the Marder III tank destroyer, which featured a captured Soviet 7.62cm PaK 36(r) gun. When supplies of these Russian weapons began to run short, the vehicle was modified to accept the German 7.5cm PaK 40/3 L/46 gun. The resulting vehicle was produced from November 1942 to April 1943 on the PzKpfw 38(t) Ausf. H chassis.

This comprehensive new kit employs widespread use of slide molds to give the modeler full and accurate detail. This kit includes a one-piece lower hull, complex rear basket using preformed metal components, and highly detailed fighting compartment and gun. The gun can also traverse and elevate realistically. Main features include new gun shield and recoil guard for PaK 40/3 gun that traverses and elevates, workable breech, front armor with details, side armor shields with overhang detail reproduced by slide molds, engine deck is newly tooled, movable rear gun lock, full interior detail for fighting compartment, new seats included for gunner and radio operator, new side fenders can be realistically modeled bent like on the real vehicle, new tail light rack is finely reproduced, magic tracks with serial number detail etched on track link, bonus aluminum gun barrel, and Cartograf decals.
