This figure is Pilipili's first incursion in the so-called Dark Ages in Britain which cover the period between the end of Roman occupation and the Norman Conquest in the 11th century.

It was a succession of endless conflicts between the various ethnic groups
which populated Britain: Saxon, Jute, Dane, Briton. It was also the
formative years during which the mixing and mingling of these same ethnic
groups would shape the nation known today as Great-Britain.

Although designated as a Saxon, this figure, with some slight changes,
can be painted to represent any of these ethnic groups. The great conversion
potential of this figure is further enhanced by the elaborate scenic base
included in the kit.
