7 cm (2 3/4") is a scale popular with German manufactures for over 100 years the most famous being Hausser/Elastolin. In recent years a number of smaller manufactures have been producing new figures that are completely compatible with the soldiers of old. Janetzki Arts is one such company having recently purchased the license to produce figures based on the Prince Valiant comics formally held by Elastolin/Preiser and the Karl May western characters.
